- Driblab will provide instruction in university courses aimed at coaches, analysts and sporting directors
The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Driblab, a big data consultancy specializing in scouting, have reached a collaboration agreement to integrate advanced statistics in soccer into the training courses offered by the RFEF. The agreement will allow the incorporation of several modules related to the application of big data in performance analysis and talent detection in three different courses: the Higher University Course of Tactical Analysis, Scouting and Management of technological resources applied to soccer; the Higher University Course of Sports Director in Football; and the Higher University Course of Football Coach, Team Management and Methodology. Likewise, formation will be provided in this regard in the UEFA PRO coaching courses for veteran players with 7 years in the Primera Division.
After this agreement, the university courses for coaches, analysts and sports directors will count on Driblab's experience to analyze rivals through data, detect talent and replace players, as well as to create a methodology to find the most suitable coach for each sports project.
- The RFEF will have access to driblabPRO, the scouting platform for soccer professionals developed by the Spanish consulting firm.
Similarly, the RFEF will have access to driblabPRO, the scouting platform developed by Driblab to facilitate the entire process of search and analysis by soccer professionals, with more than 200,000 players and more than 180 competitions at its disposal, to complement the work of the professionals of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
In recent years, the use of big data to analyze the game, detect new talent and make acquisitions has become a fundamental support in the soccer industry. Big data saves time and money in such a competitive world, allowing clubs and federations to make better decisions.
Pep Sansó, head of Formation at the RFEF, emphasized after signing the agreement that the incorporation of big data into its courses "responds to the commitment to technological modernization acquired by the RFEF, and positions our training school in the 21st century". "We give added value to our training, offering the most advanced tools to our students; and, in this adventure, it is very important to have the experience of a consulting firm that was a pioneer in Spain," said Sansó.
Founded in 2017, Driblab has positioned itself as one of the most relevant big data consultancies in the sector, offering consulting services and advanced statistics platforms to improve the talent detection and performance analysis processes of sports management, technical bodies and scouting departments, managing to reduce uncertainty and helping to make more objective and effective decisions.
For Salvador Carmona, CEO of Driblab, "having the confidence and support of the Royal Spanish Football Federation for its training courses is a source of pride and a new step that reinforces our work with the best professionals". "We believe that the use of data and its contextualization are a fundamental support in the present and future of those who bet on the RFEF to train as coaches, analysts or sports directors," he added.
