Budapest Honvéd Football Club and Driblab are pleased to announce a partnership agreement to integrate advanced statistics and big data into the talent scouting and performance analysis processes of the Hungarian club's scouting department, which will have access to Driblab's extensive database and consulting services, already used by many clubs around the world.
In this agreement, Budapest Honvéd FC, 14-time league champion, will have access to driblabPRO, Driblab's automated scouting platform developed by Driblab, in which more than 200,000 players in more than 180 competitions can be detect, measure and analyse. The use of driblabPRO will enable Budapest Honvéd FC to thoroughly analyse teams, players and matches, providing the information needed to make more objective decisions on the pitch and in the transfer market.
Having the support of companies that store and refine data to complement the analysis is an increasingly critical factor in the growth and competitiveness of clubs. The growing nature of football as an industry requires being as prepared as possible to anticipate competitors, and big data allows each scouting department to rely on data to save time and focus more on more specific day-to-day functions.
Chris Docherty, sporting director of Budapest Honvéd: "The partnership with Driblab is step we have taken to improve and modernize the scouting process and performance analysis structure within the club. The partnership will give us access to deeper data analytics about our own performance, but also the performance of other players in the market."
For Salvador Carmona, CEO of Driblab, "gaining the confidence of Budapest Honvéd FC is fantastic news in the progression and positioning of Driblab within the industry. It is an honour that one of the historical clubs of Hungarian football has decided to work with us to be at the forefront in the analysis and talent detection".
