'GBE Calculator': 5 wingers under-25 of the Argentinean Professional Football League with approved GBE

We find and analyse 5 winger under-25 of the Argentinean Professional Football League with approved GBE.

The GBE (Governing Body Endorsement) is a system that was implemented in January 2021 by the English Football Association, which scores the candidate player based on his participation in the previous twelve months. This filter indicates which foreign players could join any of the UK leagues.

In order to qualify for GBE, a player must have 15 or more points, however a player who scores between 10 and 14 can use the Exception Panel to assess his case. In addition, depending on how many times a player has played for his national team, he may receive an Auto Pass, which protects him from the points system and automatically awards him the GBE. Different criteria and metrics were used to achieve this report. The first one is that players must be 25 years old or younger, the second one is that they have played a minimum of 450 minutes played (5 matches) in the current tournament, which is important to evaluate a player more objectively. And last but not least, players will have to have played a minimum of 50% of the matches played in the position of winger regardless of whether it is on the right or left side.

Ramón Sosa - Club Atlético Talleres - 24 years old - 6.5M euros market value.

Since his arrival at Club Atletico Talleres in January this year, Ramon has 9 goals and 6 assists in just 33 games. And he is the only one on the list with Auto Pass thanks to his call-up to the national team. If we had to highlight specific aspects of the Paraguayan, we would say that he is a winger with a great ability for one-on-one duels. He has a great ability with the ball in his possession and is in the top 10% of the best wingers in the Argentinian championship in terms of balls lost per game. He is also a player with a very high number of dribbles (2.66) completed per game. He is a player with a lot of projection who, due to his characteristics, could be ready to play in Europe and also in the United Kingdom as he fulfils the requirements of the GBE.

Ezequiel Barco - River Plate - 24 years old - 8.5M euros market value

Ezequiel is a player with a lot of dribbling, one on one and a lot of unbalance. Playing as a winger he tends to cut back a lot from the outside to the inside, thus generating more shots than key passes. He has a great ability to link up with the ball and is among the best in Passes into Opponent Box, Open Play Key Passes and Ball Progression. He is not as dribbly as other profiles (1.25 per 90 minutes) but is equally a very deep driving player and is among the best in his position in Argentinean football.

Juan Bizans - Banfield - 22 years old - 2.8M euros market value

Two of the main areas where Bizans excels is his ability to hold the ball and hardly lose balls and his dribbling ability, with a performance above the maximum value, making him one of the best in the league at the age of 22. He is a young player who still has many aspects to improve, including his relationship with shooting and finishing. His defensive involvement in pressing in the opposition half and defensive return is worth noting.

Jaminton Campaz - Rosario Central - 23 years old - 4M euros market value

The Colombian, who is on loan from Gremio, has 7 goals and 9 assists in 37 appearances for Rosario Central. Profile very focused on dribbling and unbalance and depth although less presence in the box. Contrasts his 3.75 dribbles per game, among the best in the championship, with only 2.65 touches in the box per 90 minutes. His 1.65m height may penalise him at the top level but he could find a home in other UK or European championships.

Benjamin Dominguez - Gimnasia LP - 20 years old - 6M Euros market value

Benjamin is the youngest player on the list, however, despite his young age he has shown he is made for big things. He is a player with a lot of dribbling and a very good diagonal inside to look for a shot or a final pass. It is worth noting that he has a 73.3% ball recovery rate, which is an important metric that indicates his defensive support for his team.
