The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) and Driblab have reached a partnership agreement during the Qatar 2022 World Cup, whereby Driblab will be the official technology partner of the Uruguayan senior national team, providing advanced statistics-based match and opponent analysis services during the World Cup, which will take place between 20 November and 18 December 2022.
The agreement will provide the AUF with analysis based on its own performance data and that of the opponents it will face in Qatar, continuing a previously productive partnership in which Driblab has been providing consultancy and statistical support services to the AUF during the qualifiers leading up to the World Cup.
Faced with the demanding challenges of today's football, and the World Cup in particular, relying on data to complement the work of the coaching staff confirms the AUF's commitment to technological innovation, using all possible information to make better decisions and provide statistical support to its entire coaching staff.
Jorge Giordano, Director of National Teams of the AUF, valued the agreement reached: "We are pleased to be able to work together with Driblab, it generates value and a database that allows us to deepen our analysis".
For Salvador Carmona, CEO of Driblab, "getting the support and trust of a multiple world champion like the Uruguayan national team for the next World Cup confirms the good work done by Driblab during the qualifiers. We hope we can continue to be of help to the Uruguay national team and its coaching staff".
