Sporting Cristal and Driblab have reached a collaboration agreement to integrate advanced statistics and big data into the talent search and performance analysis processes of the Peruvian club's sporting management and scouting department, which will have access to the extensive database developed by Driblab, as well as to its consultancy services, already enjoyed by a multitude of clubs in many parts of the world.
The agreement includes Sporting Cristal's access to driblabPRO, the fully automated scouting platform developed by Driblab to search, measure and analyse players, teams and matches, with over 200,000 players and complete coverage of more than 180 competitions, in order to obtain all possible information for decision making in transfer markets and during official competitions. Having the support of companies that store and refine data to complement the analyses is increasingly crucial for the growth and competitiveness of clubs.
The expansive nature of football as an industry demands to be as prepared as possible to anticipate competitors, and big data allows each scouting department to rely on data to save time and be able to focus on more specific day-to-day functions.
For Driblab it will be a pleasure and also a great responsibility to collaborate with a reference in Peruvian and South American football such as Sporting Cristal, founded in 1955, champion 20 times in the Peruvian league and with a constant presence in the most prestigious CONMEBOL competition at club level, the Copa Libertadores, of which it was a finalist in 1997.
Guido Bravo, Sporting Cristal's Sporting Manager, valued the agreement: "We are very excited about this collaboration between Driblab and our club. The platform will provide us with information that we will be able to apply in different processes at a professional level. This tool allows us to continue to grow and to support our decision making through a first class technological platform in world football".
For Salvador Carmona, CEO of Driblab, "the agreement is a fantastic opportunity to go hand in hand with one of the biggest clubs in South America, always demanding for its history, and to which we will try to help to offer the maximum possible information with which to make more objective decisions in their day to day and upcoming transfer markets".
